Helping Victims To Recover From Hurricane Irma

The entire team, here at Stellar Signs & Graphics, would like to send our sincere thanks to everyone who checked in on us and expressed concern in the wake of Hurricane Irma. As everybody knows, the category 5 storm battered parts of the Caribbean and our great state of Florida the weekend before last and left mass destruction behind.
We’re thankful, of course, that the overall damage done to Florida was far less severe than expected. However, we’re incredibly saddened to hear that in both Florida and the Caribbean, there have been a growing number of deaths reported. As well, the tiny island of Barbuda was hit so hard by Hurricane Irma that it is practically uninhabitable now.
The storm may have passed, but the people of Florida have a lot of rebuilding to do. Millions of us had to evacuate our homes. And so many returned to find that their homes were in far worse conditions than when they left. Lots of Floridians are still without power. So a return to normalcy hasn’t actually taken place just yet.
The team at Stellar Signs & Graphics is doing its part to help out our neighbors. As our recent Facebook meme explains, “We are grateful to have weathered the storm and we hope that you and your family suffered none or minimal damage. We are fully operational and ready to assist with any of your sign needs. If you need a cup of coffee, cold bottle of water or want to take a break in the A/C, stop by, we will be happy to see you.”
Of course, there is a lot more that we can all do to help those who have been displaced by Hurricane Irma. Below are a few suggestions of charities who are accepting donations for the relief efforts:
The Salvation Army is focused on providing food and shelter. “Our food trucks are mobilized to feed thousands of victims and first responders,” their website informs, “Our disaster relief team is setting up shelters for survivors to rest and recover.”
Save The Children is doing what it can to restore child care and education services. “When you donate to Hurricane Irma relief, your generous support will help us keep vulnerable children safe and provide desperately needed relief to families who need it most,” their site reveals.
UNICEF is working to get the kids back in school. “UNICEF will be helping children affected by Hurricane Irma resume their educations,” says their site, “UNICEF is an expert in providing education programs to children in need.”
The team at Stellar Signs & Graphics thanks you, in advance, for helping the victims of Hurricane Irma. We’re doing the best we can to get back to what it is we do best. With that said, for all of your business signage needs, don’t hesitate to call us at 561-721-6060.
