Comments Off on How Channel Letter Signs Make All The Difference In The World
We admit that the title of this week’s blog suggests a pretty bold declaration. Just how much of an impact do channel letters have when used for signage above your storefront? Well, let’s consider the fact that, by nature, channel letters jut out from their backgrounds. So, unlike flat signs, a channel letter sign can be seen from a variety of angles.
Equally as important is the fact that channel letter signs contain electrical elements. Although they don’t necessarily have to be illuminated, the option to light them up is a key in helping businesses stand out from their competitors. Channel letters are well known for being visible from far distances. If you want to bring more attention to your place of business, you could think of a lot worse things to do that install channel letter signage.
How are channel letters made?
The Stellar Signs & Graphics signage experts manufacture the bodies of our channel letters from lightweight but sturdy aluminum. An amazing aspect of this material is that it is rust-proof. It’s also not susceptible to insect damage. As well, use colorful acrylic for the front of our channel letters. This creates a vibrant look that helps for your sign to be an excellent attention grabber.
Many of our channel letter signs are illuminated. If you select this option, we would add LEDs to the interior of the letters. You can choose from three different lighting options.
What are the lighting options for channel letter signs?
Front lit signs are most common. They offer the standard sign look that the majority of our clients enjoy. The colorful acrylic facings light up at night when the LEDs are turned on. After dark, your color scheme will remain intact because of the customized paints that we use on the acrylic.
Halo lit signs are made with the backs of the letters left open. The front of each letter is closed with aluminum material and the sign is painted with your company’s custom colors. When the LEDs are turned on, the light escapes through the back. This allows the illumination to bathe your signage in a beautiful halo of light.
Back lit signs allow for the light to escape through the front-facing colorful acrylic as well as through the open back. The facing remains crisp while there is also a halo that surrounds the lettering.
