Restoring Max Metal Artwork with Digital Graphics

Would you believe that our graphic artists also help customers who need assistance with artwork restoration? While we may not be able to do the touch-ups on the Mona Lisa, we recently did help a client by restoring max metal artwork with digital graphics in West Palm Beach, FL.
What is Max Metal?
In simplest terms, Max metal is an aluminum composite with a high-density polyethylene core. Those in the signage industry use the material for sign blanks. We can paint it or cover it with a digitally imprinted vinyl overlay. What makes this material so useful for artwork is the fact that it does not dent or scratch, which is great when you want to use it in areas where there is a lot of foot traffic and the potential for mishaps.
Restoring Artwork
Our client has a 48-inch, round Max metal keepsake Indian head image that needed to be updated. He intended to the work himself. In the process, there was an accident with the paint. It resulted in a ruined appearance of the artwork. We took on the project and redid the image with a full-color print that we placed onto the marred surface. Now, the Indian head is once again pristine, and there is no hint of any damage that was previously done to the piece’s look.
Printing on Metal? We Do That!
Of course, we do not just design images and imprint them onto metals used for artwork. We routinely do so for companies that need signage.
- Full range of Pantone and standard colors. No matter what color you have in mind, we can match it. We use Pantone colors, which comes in handy when you have kept the color number from the last time you had sign work done. If you no longer have the number, do not worry! Whether you need a perfect match or basic screen-printing colors, we can fill your order.
- Choose your margins. Are you ordering safety signs for your company’s parking lot? Do you need wayfinding signs for the interior of your office? Maybe you are thinking of beautifying your break room with some inspirational signs. Consider imprint areas between eight inches by 44 inches and 89 inches by 35 inches. If you need something a bit more unusual in size or shape, we can help you there, too.
- One-sided or two-sided? The majority of metal sign imprints that we do are one-sided. When you have freestanding signage that addresses consumers coming from two directions, a double-sided display is a must. Talk through your double-sided imprinted metal signage needs with our graphic artists; we ensure that we get arrow directions right.
